Beni has no accounts and no servers holding your data. What you enter stays on your phone.
Nothing is sent to us, and we hold no personal data about you.
We do not ask for your name, email, phone number, date of birth, or address. We have no login, so we have no user accounts. We do not use analytics, advertising identifiers, or third-party trackers of any kind.
The app saves these locally so it can remember your setup between launches:
This never leaves your device. It is not backed up to us, and we cannot see it. Deleting the app deletes all of it permanently — we hold no copy, so there is nothing for us to delete on request and nothing to restore.
The cards and figures you enter are your own rough estimates, typed by you. Beni does not connect to your bank, does not read your transactions, and never asks for card numbers, CVVs, expiry dates, banking credentials, or one-time passwords. If anything ever asks you for those inside this app, it is not us — please report it.
Quick Pick can scan a payment QR to work out what you are buying. If you use it:
You can refuse or revoke camera permission in your phone's settings; the rest of the app keeps working.
Beni can download an updated list of card reward rates so your figures stay current. That request only asks for our public rate list — it sends none of your cards, spending, or any identifier. If it fails, the app falls back to its cached or built-in list and carries on working offline.
The app does not otherwise connect to the internet, except when you tap an external link (for example "Check HDFC Bank's terms"), which opens that company's own website in your browser. Their privacy policy applies there, not ours.
If you use "Report a wrong rate", your phone opens your own email app with a draft. Nothing is sent until you send it. If you do email us, we will have whatever you chose to write, plus your email address, and we will use it only to fix the data or reply to you.
Beni is not directed at children and is intended for adults who hold or are considering a credit card.
Reward rates in Beni are estimates compiled from public issuer information, and they can be out of date or wrong. The app is an informational tool, not financial advice, and we are not a licensed financial adviser or a regulated financial institution. Always check the issuer's own current terms — every card screen links to them — before applying for or relying on a card.
If we change what the app does with information, we will update this page and the date above. Material changes will be called out in the app.
